Annual Coastal Cleanup Day is returning on Saturday, September 18, 2021!

#ProtectYourHappyPlace

Join thousands of volunteers around the world for the largest cleanup event of the year!

Each year Save Our Shores coordinates over 60 cleanup sites around the Monterey Bay National Marine Sanctuary, from the coast to our inland parks and waterways.

Sign up to be a site captain!

Site captains are enthusiastic cleanup leaders, who take charge of a cleanup at one of our designated sites. Sign up today to lead a cleanup at your favorite beach, river, or park! Site captain registration is first come first serve, so if a location is not listed that means someone else has already signed up to be the site captain.

Stay tuned for more information on how you can volunteer during this year’s Annual Coastal Cleanup Day!

Unable to join the cleanup effort on September 18th, 2021?

You can conduct a cleanup whenever and wherever you can during the whole month of September! Simply download the Clean Swell App to collect data on the types of trash you find and head out to your favorite spot.
